Each material is selected to meet the specific needs of our clients while introducing unique, handcrafted options for their projects. I am a sixth-generation New Mexican on my father’s side and the daughter of an immigrant from Chihuahua, Mexico. This heritage fuels my deep commitment to New Mexico and my strong work ethic—values that led me to open a business in an industry long dominated by men. After years of contributing to the success of other companies, I founded Mari Lopez Design, LLC (MLD) in 2022.

His highly technical and scientific background as a PhD working in Food Science has influenced his drive for technical mastery. Amaral’s passion for art and attention to detail result in beautifully patterned and perfectly executed spaces both contemporary and classic, transcending trends. Growing up in Costa Rica and living in Mexico, France, Canada and the United States instilled in Amaral a deep appreciation for both the diversity and universality of personal interiors throughout the world, which informs his choices of designs and materials. Comfortable and contemporary classics, each new project is a work of art.
